A BILL to amend article two, chapter twenty of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended,
by adding thereto a new section, designated section
twenty-nine, relating to wildlife resources; and providing
that spouses and dependents of residents of West Virginia on
active duty in the armed forces of the United States of
America and stationed out of state may hunt, trap or fish in
season in West Virginia, by acquiring a resident license.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That article two, chapter twenty of the code of West Virginia,
one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended by
adding thereto a new section, designated section twenty-nine, to
read as follows:
ARTICLE 2. WILDLIFE RESOURCES.
§20-2-29. Military family resident license.



Spouses and dependents of West Virginia residents serving on
active duty in the armed forces of the United States of America and
stationed out of state, may hunt, trap or fish in season in West
Virginia, by acquiring a resident license to do so. The director
of the division of natural resources may propose rules for
legislative approval in accordance with the provisions of article
three, chapter twenty-nine-a of this code to implement the
provisions of this section.



NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to permit the spouse and
dependents of a West Virginia resident on active military duty in
the armed forces of the United States and stationed out of state to
hunt, trap or fish in season in this state with a resident license.
